Insectomat

The Insectomat 5K is a desktop machine that detects insects in cereal grain, screening samples of up to 5 kg per cycle. It lets you check incoming grain batches before they go into storage, reducing the risk of infestation and of contaminating stock that is already clean. Tre Emme Maraldi is an authorized TEKPRO reseller.

What the Insectomat is and what it does

Almost all cereal grain is exposed to the risk of insect infestation. Spotting a compromised batch before it enters the warehouse is essential: a single bad batch can contaminate large quantities of clean grain already in storage. The Insectomat allows checks to be carried out right at the intake point, avoiding later and more costly intervention.

How it works

Traditional methods inspect only a tiny amount of grain compared with the total, so the chance of catching insects is low. Working on up to 5 kg per cycle, the Insectomat improves the reliability of the check and can detect even a single insect in a 5 kg sample, far faster and more safely than manual sieving.

Pairing with the Samplex system

To obtain a sample that is representative of the whole load, the Insectomat pairs with the Samplex sampling range: the SAMPLEX CS90 probe takes product from the vehicle and the Insectomat then checks its condition.
