Automatic Bag Slitter
The automatic bag slitter is a machine designed for fast, serial opening of bags and packages containing products that need to be disposed of. It is the ideal solution for packaging lines handling large volumes of defective, expired, or returned packages, separating the contents from the packaging automatically and without product dispersion into the work environment.
The machine cuts, empties, and separates up to hundreds of bags per hour, drastically reducing the time and cost of manual disposal while ensuring a cleaner and safer workplace.
How it works
The operator places the bags onto the feed conveyor. The automatic cutting system slices the packaging open in a controlled manner, allowing the contents to fall into a collection hopper below. The empty bag is conveyed towards a compactor or disposal container.
The entire process is enclosed within a protective cabin that prevents dust from dispersing into the environment. An integrated extraction system, or one connectable to a centralised dust collection plant, keeps the work area clean and compliant with safety regulations.
